Multi-purpose lighting effect generator LFXHub

Create natural-looking lighting effects

LFXHub control panel

It has never been so easy to create natural looking lighting effects - many apps combined in a single box.

Numerous presets with a flicker resolution of 24 fps create repeatable effects using fluoros, LEDs, HMIs combined with shutters or control any size of tungsten lamps with up to three channels.

The revolutionairy "Ramp" function adapts the stored HD curve to the power of the bullb. Thus don´t mind which lamps you would like to control - without any limit of output power.

The LFXHub provides three 0...10VDC outputs, an internal dimmer pack and an optional DMX output.

The control input for the LightingSensor / PowerSensor and other accessories allows for automatic synchronization of actor-activated lighting effects.

effects / 24 fps presets24 fps

Subdivided into "TV", "Fire", "triangle" and "rectangle" the different categories of lighting effects provide a quickly intuitive access to presets - stored high res flicker curves.

Modify each 24 fps effect individually -
settings are automatically stored as "my recent setting".

flicker TV:

  • feature film
  • news
  • videoclip

Simulates a projection of a TV set or a movie projector.
Every stored curve (preset) has a different composition of "cuts" and "pans".

flicker Fire:

  • fire
  • candle
  • welding

fireplace, fire storm, flickering shadows when used with three channels

candle flame, lighter, match
Also use as a short-circuit effect or a "broken" fluoro effect

triangle:

  • sawtooth
  • symmetric flasher
  • neon lights 1

virtually unlimited number of neon sign effects,

dimming up and down threee different channels

rectangle:

  • construction site flasher
  • turn indicator
  • neon lights 2

virtually unlimited number of neon sign effects,

switching on and off threee different channels as a sequencer

A preset automatically configures all necessary settings - ready to shoot.

There are many options to connect different types of lamps at the LFXHub.

Enjoy the freedom to select the perfect lamp for your application.

Because of the interfaces of the LFXHub there is no limit to the output power.

controllable lamps

Use the ideal lamp suitable to your demands. The "Ramp" function adapts the signal to the bulb size.
Compatible is virtually every compliant DMX-512 device , a tungsten lamp with a mains plug or any device providing a compliant 0...10VDC input.

precise brightness limits

Exactly define the upper and lower brightness limits with your meter.

The measurement feature "freezes" any selected lighting effect / preset - so a measurement is easy.

Adjust the values of "Dimmer max." and "Dimmer min." according to the desired exposure.

curve shown here: 24fps preset "candle"

Independent from the measurement feature the dimmer levels can be varied anytime - when the lighting effect is running.

The mesasuremet feature is available for every preset and for every individual setting.

The LFXHub automatically calculates the sum of all three channels.

"ramp" indicators

Create perfect looking lighting effects with:

  • 20ks
  • Dinos
  • redheads
  • fluoros
  • LED fixtures
  • standard 60 W bulbs
  • 12 V low voltage lamps

Ramp adapts bulb inertia

The "ramp" - function adapts effects to the duration of persistence of various types of filaments.

The timing difference between the moment of electrical deactivation and the time of a completely extinguished light depends on the power of the bulb.

A transition of flicker curve would look different with the same signal used at different lamp types.
The "Ramp"-feature shapes the edges of a high resolution flicker curve hard, medium or soft.

blue:    hard transitions, ramp deactivated

red:      medium transitions

green:  soft transitions

Choose the ramp shape depending on the connected equipment.

Thus any lighting effect looks excellent - with
a 20K, a redhead, a standard 60 W bulb, fluoros or LED.

LightningFX with the LFXHub (upgrade option)

A high precision preset generated by the LFXHub controls one or more dimmer-shutter(s) using HMIs up to 18 kW. A sequence of high resolution flashes is triggered by the external trigger module.

Link the shutters via DMX with the LFXHub. Create stunning "moving" thunderstrorm flashes using three channels.

The additionally installed "lightningFX" software provides three presets: lightningX, single -flash and multi-flash.
