The solution: RC4 ColorMatch

In this article we show how to calibrate the color rendering of different RGB(W) LED strips and store them permanently in the dimmer.

There are two methods.

With OneTouch

Calibration is easy and quick to implement with the OneTouch procedure, no accessories required, just one touch of a button.

This applies to all LumenDim dimmers and RC4 Magic 2.4 GHz dimmers.

required: RC4 dimmer, connected transmitter, DMX signal via light control panel or DMX tester, paper clip

  1. connect both dimmers to transmitter
  2. set all 8 channels to 100%
  3. By changing the levels of the red, green, blue and white channels, select the colour of both dimmers, even in different combinations (red with green, blue with red, ..., with white), so that the result is identical.
  4. Press the SetA key on the dimmer to be calibrated for at least 5 seconds (the so-called "Long-press" - OneTouch).
  5. The calibration is now permanently stored in the dimmer.
  6. Now set all eight levels to 100% on the light control panel/DMX tester.

The colour rendering should now be the same.

Wireless

Wireless colour matching when using the RC4 Magic Commander software in conjunction with the RC4 Magic 2.4 GHz series.

required: USB dongle, RC4 Commander software, RC4 Magic 2.4 GHz Dimmer

As shown in the picture above,

  1. check the box "Enable ColorMatch"
  2. by changing the respective levels of the channels red, green, blue, white, select the colour for both dimmers, also in different combinations (red with green, blue with red, ..., with white), so that the result is identical.

Values are automatically safed to the device.
