With last year’s acquisition of Wireless Solution Lumenradio now own both the W-DMX and CRMX technology.

Since 2008 there have been two competing technologies on the market: W-DMX from Wireless Solution and CRMX from LumenRadio. This has led to an industry divided between the two major technologies, until now.

Improvements for RC4 Wireless LumenDim dimmers

Meanwhile, all RC4 LumenRadio receivers have always been compatible with WirelessSolution W-DMX systems from G1 through G5 (after free firmwere update), so our LumenDim devices already work with the vast majority of W-DMX systems in the world.

Replacements for W-Dim devices

  1. W-DimM3 > LumenDimM4
  2. W-Dim4, 42 Amps > LumenDim4, 42 Amps
  3. W-Dim6, 42 Amps> LumenDim6, 42 Amps

Meanwhile, all RC4 LumenRadio receivers have always been compatible with WirelessSolution W-DMX systems from G1 through G4, so our LumenDim devices already work with the vast majority of W-DMX systems in the world.

Soon, LumenRadio will be releasing firmware updates for full compatibility with all W-DMX and CRMX systems. These updates are for their TiMo and TimoTwo RF modules, which RC4 has been using in all RC4 LumenDim devices since 2018.

For devices built before them, which contain preceding LumenRadio technology, please contact us for an upgrade.

Even more exciting, LumenDim firmware updates will also introduce compatibility with LumenRadio’s newest multi-universe technology. Their new flagship transmitter supports 8 wireless universes! In my opinion, investing in W-DIM devices with W-DMX radios inside is a dead-end street.

All W-DMX products have been removed from our shop.
